Your Consultation
A Personal Decision
Cosmetic breast surgery is one of the most important and personal decisions you can make, so we will do everything to assure you that choosing Connall Cosmetic Surgery is the right decision. We Are Here to Help You Learn & Feel Relaxed
We realize that many patients fear their consultation will be stressful and rushed. Our approach is to help you feel comfortable from the moment you enter our office. Dr. Connall and the staff are warm, welcoming and pleased to meet you. Plenty of time is allotted for your appointment so that you can obtain the care and information you need to make an informed, confident decision about your surgery.
Comprehensive Evaluation
Dr. Connall spends time talking with you to understand your wishes and to review your medical history. Afterwards, a complete breast examination is performed. This is a comprehensive evaluation of your breasts and chest, including a number of important measurements. Dr. Connall will review your examination with you and answer any questions you may have.
Breast Implant "Try-On"
If you are choosing breast implants, your consultation begins with an introduction to breast implants. With the help of one our staff members (Lisa, Carrie or Angela), you learn about various implant options and styles. You can touch, hold and compare the different types of breast implants available to you. Later, after your examination by Dr. Connall, out staff will assist you with "trying-on" some sample implants, if you wish. Most women value this time learning about breast implants greatly, as it is a nice introduction to breast augmentation and can help give you an idea of the size of breast augmentation you will be choosing.
Relaxed Discussions With Our Team
The consultation will then move to Dr. Connall's conference room. There, Dr. Connall provides a thorough review of your surgical options and presents a computerized slide show about your procedure. If you are selecting breast implants, all of your implant options are considered. In addition, Dr. Connall discusses implant sizing in detail. He provides a copy of your examination and the breast implant sizing chart to help you make this decision. Because you have much to consider, final determination of your breast implant style and size will be made at your pre-operative visit.
At the consultation, you will also learn about the pros and cons of the various breast incisions, and whether to place the implants under or above the pectoralis major muscle. In addition, Dr. Connall discusses the surgery itself and what to expect afterwards. He values well-informed and inquisitive patients, so be assured that he will take the time needed to answer all of your questions.
Surgery Information and Scheduling
Finally, you meet with Angela to review the scheduling, logistics and financing of your surgery and, if you like, to schedule your pre-operative visit and surgery date. Angela can help answer general questions about your procedure, including those you may have overlooked during your time with Dr. Connall.
Time Well Spent
